Caring For The Cox Family

Design by Tifany DeGough
Welcome and thank you for stopping by to support the Caring for the Cox Family Blog Hop. We are sharing our projects in support of our crafting friend Ann Cox and hoping to raise awareness for the campaign at Go Fund Me. Recently Ann's husband has endured some major health issues. Kevin was the primary caregiver for their toddler Liam, but now needs to focus on his recovery. More information regarding their current situation can also be found at the Go Fund Me page.  Please consider donating to help this family. Any amount is appreciated and your prayers are always welcome.

Leave a comment of support and encouragement to Ann for a chance to win $50 gift cards donated by the generous Lawn Fawn, CAS-ual Friday's and Sugar Pea Designs. You can earn an additional chance to win by donating on the Go Fund Me site. Winners will be posted on Ashley Newell's blog on February 11th. Also, Amy Tsuruta is giving away a $30 Hero Arts gift card on her blog!

Because I am the biggest Lawn Fawn fan on the planet, I wanted to use their fun products for my cards. Ann Cox loves butterflies so Lawn Fawn's Flutter By stamp and die set was a perfect choice. The sentiment is from Lawn Fawn's Scripty Sayings.  I used Koi Watercolor Sketch Box to make the background and Wink of Stella glitter brush to add a touch of glitter to the butterfly wings. The butterflies were colored with Zig Clean Color Brush markers.

The
inspiration for the second card came fro
m Ann herself.  No matter what life throws at her she always keeps a positive attitude and never loses her faith. This card was also made with Lawn Fawn products. The clouds were made from Sunny Skies, the sentiment came from Partly Cloudy and the sun is from Hello Sunshine. I used Tim Holtz mini distress ink (Stormy Skies) to create the background.

The final card I made for the hop sums up my feelings for the Cox family.  The background was made with Tim Holtz distress inks and Lawn Fawns Let's Bokeh using the method in this video made by Kelly Marie.  I cut the "hugs" from Lawn Fawn's Scripty Hugs several times, stacked them on top of each other and coated with Glossy Accents to add a little depth. The sentiment on the inside of this card is from Lawn Fawn's Partly Cloudy and reads "we can weather the storm together."

If you are hopping you may have arrived here from Lawn Fawn's blog and your next stop will be the blog of Sankari's Sunshine Corner.  Don't forget to leave a comment and/or donate to be eligible for the prizes!  The full blog hop line up is listed below. 3. I adore each of the cards you created. They're all created with love and words to make you feel warm and fuzzy which is just what people need during these times. My own mom is in renal failure so I understand the struggle. My heart and prayers are with them during this difficult time.
